Description: Little Dragon is a female-fronted electronic band that started in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2006. You can hear the influence of various genres on the band’s 3 LPs, including: American and Swedish folk music, early hip hop and jazz. In the past, they have also collaborated with Gorillaz, Maximum Balloon and SBTRKT.

Artist: Carla Morrison

Description: Hailing from Tecate, Baja California Mexico. Carla Morrison has been active in a number of bands for many years most notably “Babaluca”. It was not until she went solo that she began to define her style of pop, mixed with elements of the traditional Mexican folk music, Ranchera. Before her first solo release “Aprendiendo a Aprender” in 2009 she had already receive praise from other well known Mexican musicians such as Julieta Venegas and Natalia Lafourcade.

Description: Bay Area producers James Laurence and Dylan Reznick are Friendzone. The duos productions have been dubbed by many blogs as cloud rap. The nickname fits the light-hearted melodies and slowed down rhythms that suggest a dreamy, almost weightless mood.
