Pinkney Hall: July Themes

Every Friday morning, tune into Pinkney Hall. During July, you will hear music with the following themes, along with newly released music and music from artists appearing in Pittsburgh. All ​in​ the space of one hour – 9 AM to 10 AM.

July 1 – Canada Day! We’ll play songs by artists from Canada.

July 8 – Songs about eyes.

July 15 – Instrumentals.

July 22 – Kenny Joe will be out of town, so you’ll probably hear automation.

July 29 – Summer songs, including at least four versions of Summertime.

Pinkney Hall: June Themes

We are sorry that technical problems kept us off the air on the last two Fridays in May. For the first three Fridays in June, we will honor three folks who had a lot of influence on American music, Bob Dyan, Harry Smith and Sam Phillips. You will also will hear newly released music and music from artists scheduled to appear in Pittsburgh. So, tune in Friday mornings from 9 AM to 10 AM and check it out.

June 3– We’ll be honoring Bob Dylan.

June 10 – We’ll be honoring Harry Smith.

June 17 – We’ll be honoring Sam Phillips.

June 24 – Monkeys!! (And we do not mean The Monkees!)
