Earlier this week, CMU’s women’s basketball team was announced as a selection in the ECAC championship tournament. This is the only the fourth postseason appearance for the women’s team in school history and the first since the 2000-2001 season. WRCT will be doing its best to provide coverage of these postseason games. The first game will be broadcasted this Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m. If the team wins this Wednesday, they’ll play on Saturday at a time TBD. If they win that one, they would play on Sunday. Go Tartans.

The next four editions of Pinkney Hall (9-10 a.m. Fridays) will have the following themes:
Feb. 22 — Continuing the theme from the Feb. 8 show, we’ll be playing duets.
March 1 — On March 1, we’ll be playing songs from artists whose birthdays are in March.
March 8 — In recognition of International Women’s Day, we will be featuring music by women artists.
March 15 — March 15 is the date for Pinkney Hall’s Free Reed Festival, where we will feature accordions, harmonicas, bandoneons, harmoniums and perhaps other less-respected free reed instruments.
Requests that fit these themes can be made prior to the shows by email to wrctpinkney@gmail.com or during the show to the WRCT request line (412-621-9728).
