WRCT wins Greater Pittsburgh Community Radio Award

WRCT received the Community Radio Award at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Media Awards on October 19, 2023. The Greater Pittsburgh Community Media Awards celebrate media that bring awareness of the importance of free speech and accessible media so that more individuals can have their voices heard in the greater Pittsburgh community.

The Community Radio Award recognizes a noncommercial station in the region that offers unique programming as an alternative to those presented by corporate media and that provides the greatest opportunities for people to develop their broadcasting skills.

WRCT is honored to accept this award and is thankful to the events organizers, including PCTV, BPTV, MMTV, and City Channel Pittsburgh.

In the video linked below, fast forward to the 14:00 mark to see WRCT General Manager Lukas Glist accept the award on behalf of WRCT’s student and community members.
